Communication Process
Now your students have a safe and comfortable channel of communication with this anonymous tip line. Here's the basic overview of how it works.
Your school gets a customized page for reporting, feedback, and surveys. Your school's site links to the SchoolTipline page via a personal domain name. Free flyers, posters, and brochures are available on the SchoolTipline website for promotion in your school.
Students, parents, or staff simply click on a link from your school’s homepage or go directly to SchoolTipline.com. They can report from a computer or cell phone with the Internet. SchoolTipline.com provides a safe, anonymous channel of communication open 24/7. Reporters can choose whether or not to remain anonymous..

Administrators are automatically notified of new reports. Login to your SchoolTipline Management Dashboard to review reports.
Take immediate action by using SchoolTipline’s anonymous two-way communication system to follow up with reporters. Delegate to other report managers. Use the dashboard as a school internal review board. Easily investigate and manage reports. Conduct surveys. Comply with State requirements. Easily send state or district reports, and view trend reports. Build trust with students and reporters.
Customized tip line to fit your students' needs
First, the reporter clicks on the link from your school's website, taking them to your school's customized SchoolTipline page. Here they are encouraged to create a login which would allow them to be notified of important messages or alerts from administration. If they do not create a login, they will still be able to report and take surveys (unless disabled by school). Next, the reporter selects who they want the report to go to (e.g. administrator, counselor, or a teacher they trust) and whether or not they want to remain anonymous. The reporter will be reminded to log in again within 24 hours. They will be notified by email if follow-up questions arise or if changes are made to the status or priority of the report.
Report Management
Administrators are provided with an incident management dashboard. Logging on to this dashboard gives them powerful tools which allow them to review, investigate, and manage reports. From the dashboard, administrators can easily ask the reporter for more information all while maintaining the reporter’s anonymity.
With SchoolTipline.com administrators can easily view reports, trends, and historical data. Administrators can also view the number of reports by incident type and the time it takes to resolve them. SchoolTipline.com provides a central organized system for all incident reports.
